WORKSHOP – Poznan, Poland (Activity 1.4.)

The workshop regarding entrepreneurship promotion held on 28th September till 1st October 2009 in Poznan University of Economics, Poznan. The University was founded in 1926 and has about 16.000 students. The University cooperates with more than 120 international partner Universities in Europe and across the world in exchange of teaching staff, joint programs and collaboration on various research projects. Project partners were greeted by Professor Maciej Zukowski, PhD, a prorector for research and international relations. A first day saw a discussion on the state and obstacles of entrepreneurship and the future of entrepreneurship in higher education in Poland and Europe. On the second day, the partners visited Poznan Science and Technology Park and DNA Research Center. After the visit, partners visited the old city and the St. Peter and Paul’s basilica which is the oldest polish cathedral which was founded in Poznan during the second half 10th century. The following day partners visited the Nikkel Science and Technology Park and Poznan Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator.
