The Faculty of Economics and Business Maribor was established in 1959 is one of twelve faculties within University of Maribor. More than 130 people are employed at the Faculty of Economics and Business Maribor, two thirds are teaching and research staff. FEB offers two undergraduate programmes. Each year 330 full-time students enter either the University Education Programme or Professional Higher Education Programme. Around 2,500 full-time students per year are enrolled in the undergraduate studies. In addition, around 900 part-time students enter both programmes each year. It offers four postgraduate programmes, where more than 350 students are enrolled. Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management is a unit within FEB. It is specialized in entrepreneurship and small business research and consulting. Since 1999 they run on a yearly basis Slovenian Entrepreneurship Observatory which on the basis of questionnaire survey (phone and mail), and company data analysis provides overview of entrepreneurship activity in Slovenia. The most comprehensive international research project currently lead by the Institute is Erasmus Proguc 29988-IC-I- De -Erasmus-PROGUC-1, IMHCaSM-International Masters Degree in Health Care and Social Management, and STEAMED- Standardization of Teaching of Medicine, TEMPUS SM_SCM-C003A06-2006.
